​Mediation is a structured, voluntary conflict resolution process conducted in a confidential setting. My role as a mediator is to create a safe space where both sides feel heard and equally supported and to guide the conversation so they can find forward-looking solutions that work for everyone involved.

​

My current focus is on couples mediation. I support people navigating difficult moments in their relationship, those at breaking point and those who have things to discuss before separating. By facilitating clear communication, I help couples express their needs and reconnect. Learning new, more effective communication skills enables them to prevent misunderstandings, grievances and arguments from escalating in future.

​

Clients in Berlin may prefer English-language mediation for several reasons:

  • English is the first language of both parties and they feel less confident discussing difficult topics in German

  • English is not the first language of either party but serves as their shared language

  • English is the first language of only one of the parties and both have agreed to use it

​​Bilingual in English and German from an early age, I’ve built my career around English as my working language – both as a teacher and translator – and now bring this expertise to my mediation work in English.

​

In my mediation sessions,

  • conversation is slowed down – creating space for everyone to think before speaking,

  • each voice carries equal weight – regardless of language ability,

  • meaning gets translated into words – so nothing gets lost when it matters most,

  • cultural differences are brought into the open – and don’t turn into personal conflict,

Conflict coaching provides a structured, confidential space in which I work one-to-one with you on managing and resolving conflict more effectively, whether in a specific situation or more generally. In this process we look at what lies behind a conflict, including the needs and dynamics involved, while clarifying your own role in it. The aim is to support you in developing practical, forward-looking goals and strategies.

I offer conflict coaching in English in Berlin to clients whose first language is English and those who prefer to use English regardless of their first language.​
